Skipper extends his stay with Southend United after penning new contract.
Southend United defender John White has signed a new two-year deal with the Club, we are delighted to announce.
The skipper moved to Roots Hall in the summer of 2013 on a free transfer after previously spending a short time at the club on loan.
“I’m really pleased to have agreed a new deal with the Club,” John said.
“It’s been great here since I came and the last two years have been successful with the play-off finish and then promotion at Wembley last season.
“The fans have always been good to me, my family and I are settled in the area and I love playing and captaining the Club.
“Hopefully there can be more success over the next couple of years too!”
White has appeared a total of 99 competitive games for the Blues during his loan and his permanent stay.
