Blues fans can continue to #FeedThePig, whilst Williams and Deegan stay too.
Southend United are delighted to announce that Joe Pigott has had his loan extended from Charlton Athletic until the end of the season.
Originally joining on a short-term deal, Pigott made his debut against Plymouth Argyle at Roots Hall and has impressed everyone with his performances – and goals.
Joe has scored twice – against Oxford United and Portsmouth - in three games for the Club and a delighted Phil Brown said: “It takes that element of doubt away. When you see the quality he has in training, it takes that risk away.
“To be involved in a promotion campaign for Joe, will definitely help his development in the game and I'm over the moon that he's staying at the Club.
“Supporters will always worry about loanees' commitment and Joe's shown that commitment to the cause – which I think the supporters have seen when he's played at Oxford and Portsmouth. Both stadiums were real pressure-cooking situations and he's scored against both.
“That will do him good when it comes to the end of the season, and the pressure's really on you.
“We've got some fantastic options up top now in Joe, Jake Cassidy, Shaq Coulthirst, Barry Corr and Lee Barnard, and we head into the business end of the season in great shape.”
As well as Joe, the Club can also confirm that Jerome Binnom-Williams and Gary Deegan will both be staying at Roots Hall until the end of the season.
Jerome has agreed to extend his loan spell from Crystal Palace, whilst Gary has signed a permanent deal with the Blues until the end of the campaign.
