A look ahead to the Sky Bet League Two clash between the Blues and the Shrews at Greenhous Meadow.
Season so far…
Shrewsbury Town have been going great guns so far this season, and have suffered just six defeats – including one against Blues -, at the time of print.
The club are currently cemented nicely in the top three of the table in Sky Bet League Two, and have registered impressive wins over the likes of Portsmouth, Luton Town, Bury, Burton Albion and Oxford United this season.
Away from the league, Salop ran Premier League giants Chelsea close at Greenhous Meadow, suffering an agonising 2-1 defeat to Jose Mourinho’s side in the Capital One Cup, after beating Norwich City in the competition.
They Said What?...
Dave Penney: “Shrewsbury are a very good team with an excellent home record. We have a good away record and we're looking forward to it. We have more options and choices. Barry Corr is back from suspension and Mads Ibenfeldt is the only one out long-term for us.
Micky Mellon: “They beat us last time, so we owe them one. We didn’t feel that we started the game very well (at Southend), we came out of the blocks too slowly.“
Referee: Carl Boyeson
Assistant Referees: Nick Greenhalgh and Robert Jones
Fourth Official: Paul Hobday
