News: Ted Smith called up to England under-20s squad

Goalkeeper named in squad for Czech Republic in early September.

Southend United can announce that goalkeeper Ted Smith has been called up to the England under-20 squad.

Ted's been selected in Keith Downing's 20-man squad for a game against the Czech Republic to be played on Monday 7th September, at Shrewsbury Town's Greenhous Meadow.

Goalkeepers: Ted Smith (Southend United), Russell Griffiths (Everton)

Defenders: Ashley Smith Brown (Manchester City), Ola Aina (Chelsea), Mason Holgate (Everton), Ben Chilwell (Leicester City), Reece Burke (Bradford City, loan from West Ham), Kean Bryan (Manchester City), Bryn Morris (Coventry City, loan from Middlesbrough)
