Striker arrives on loan until January with a view to a permanent transfer.
Southend United are delighted to announce the return of one of last season's play-off heroes, with Joe Pigott signing for the Club on loan from Charlton Athletic.
Pigott has returned on a six-month loan deal from the Championship side, and will remain with Southend United until January 2nd.
In January, the Club will be able to purchase the striker permanently if they wish, with a financial package agreed with the Addicks already.
Joe originally signed for the Blues on loan from Charlton for the second half of last season and scored plenty of vital goals, but none more so than the dramatic 122nd minute equaliser against Wycombe Wanderers in the play-off Final.
Joe began with Charlton's youth team and took in spells with the likes of Gillingham and Newport County prior to agreeing a simlar deal with the Blues.
Only a couple of weeks ago Joe was back at Roots Hall playing for the Addicks in a friendly match against the Blues!
Joe will wear squad number 23 and goes straight into the squad for today's game at Fleetwood Town.
And just incase you forgot about Joe's last goal for the Blues, well... there's no harm in taking another look!
