Left back available for the long trip to Morecambe on Saturday.
Southend United are delighted to announce the appeal for the red card given to Ben Coker during the win over Luton Town has been successful.
Coker was sent off after Shaun Whalley fell, but Blues appealed the harsh decision and Coker will now be able to play at Morecambe in the final game of the season.
And Phil Brown was over the moon to learn the news regarding the left back.
“I'm delighted for Ben,” the boss said on Tuesday afternoon.
“He's been ever present since his injury and has hit a standard that I've been delighted with.
“For him to be taken out in the circumstances he did from the assistant rather than the referee, I'm pleased the FA have seen sense. After the game the officials pointed out they made a mistake.
“Ben will now be available and in the squad at Morecambe, which is terrific news.”
