An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Physiotherapist to oversee the medical care of the Academy players at Southend United Football Club.
The role will involve the daily management of the under 18 squad and overseeing a team of therapists responsible for the care of the under 9-16 players. The successful physiotherapist will be expected to work within the framework for Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP) for a Category 3 Academy with a view to progress to Category 2.
Essential qualifications are registration to the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC), and membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP). Previous experience of working within elite sport would be beneficial, alongside a first aid qualification. Applications from undergraduates are welcome.
Successful candidates are expected to be committed, reliable, versatile, organised, have excellent communication skills and be willing to learn and develop.
This is a full time position, and as within any elite sports setting will include working unsociable hours. A competitive salary with other benefits is on offer.
