Trials: Academy Goalkeeper Trials at Southend United

Do you want to join the likes of Dan Bentley and Ted Smith in graduating the Blues Academy as a goalkeeper?

If you are aged 6 – 15 years old and are interested in trialing for Southend United Football Club’s Academy, then this is your opportunity to come along and demonstrate your Goalkeeping skills. 

The trial will take place:

Wednesday the 29th of October 2014 - 3.30pm to 4.30pm

BOOTS & LACES TRAINING GROUND
123 EASTERN AVENUE
SOUTHEND-ON-SEA
ESSEX
SS2 4DX

The trials are free and open to GOALKEEPERS and will consist of small-sided games in each individual age group (number dependant). 
The Goalkeeping Academy coaching and recruitment team will be on hand to watch each group in a safe, pressure free environment.
Please note, the above age groups are for the coming 2014/2015 season. Please see below for an outline of the correct age groups;

How to apply:

To register for a trial the attached Trial Application/Parental Consent Form must be completed by your parent/legal guardian and returned to;

By no later than Wednesday the 22nd of October 2014.

ACTION PLAN

1) Read through the enclosed information carefully
2) Send back the attached completed form to register your place on the trial
3) Keep this letter as confirmation of times / dates / venues etc. 
4) You will not receive a confirmation letter. Once you send off this form you have been registered.
5) Following the trial, you will only be contacted if you are successful.

You are advised to arrive 15 minutes before the start time of your trial.

Please arrive in training kit, and remember to bring with you:

• Shin pads, 
• Football boots / Goalkeeping Gloves 
• Drinks bottle

On arrival please report to the appointed designated meeting place: The front reception at Boots and Laces, where players will be registered and shown to an appropriate changing area.  

A designated parent’s area will be marked out on the training ground for parents wanting to spectate.  

Please note; if we do not receive these completed forms your child will not be able to take part in a trial.
