Southend United aiming to make it five consecutive victories when Morecambe visit Roots Hall
Southend United are back at Roots Hall on Saturday when they take on Morecambe in Sky Bet League Two.
The Shrimps have started the season in good form and find themselves just behind Blues in the table, by currently sitting in sixth place.
After ten Sky Bet League Two games, Morecambe have won five of them, but have suffered defeat in their last three games, losing by the same scoreline on all occasions – 1-0.
Jim Bentley’s side have however picked up creditable wins over the likes of Newport County and Oxford United already this season.
Referee: Andy Woolmer

The Inside View
Phil Brown: “Jim’s one of the good guys in the game,” Brown says. “He’s done a remarkable job again so far this season. He’s got himself another strong squad in this division that knows exactly what is expected.”
Jim Bentley: “We’re playing some top sides and they’re all difficult games but we know we’re capable of beating anyone if we’re on our game. We’re in a little bit of a sticky situation at the moment but we’re still in the top seven.”
