Midfielder attends event at Waterside Farm.
On Thursday 23rd October Southend United Community and Educational Trust delivered a Fit for Sport Football Tournament at Waterside Farm.
The aim of the project is to keep young people fit and healthy through sport and also to raise confidence and self esteem.
The tournament saw more than 60 young people between the ages of 12-19 take part. The winners of the competition received a ticket to a Southend United league game and player of the tournament received a signed Southend United football.
All attendees were also lucky enough to have a question and answer, photos and signatures from first team player Kevan Hurst. Kevan talked about how he keeps fit, eats healthy and how this helps performance.
Kevan said “The tournament was run very well with a lot of young people competing stay fit and healthy whilst playing Football”
