Phil Brown finally gets his man on loan from the Cobblers.
Southend United are pleased to announce the loan signing John-Joe O'Toole on an emergency loan deal from fellow Sky Bet League Two outfit Northampton Town.
The 26-year-old, whose loan deal will run until 24th January, is available to play against his parent club on Saturday and also the game at Sixfields on 3rd January.
John-Joe only joined the Cobblers in the summer on a three-year-deal after a great season in the division last season, with Bristol Rovers.
The midfielder bagged a creditable 13 goals from the middle of the park for the Pirates last term and has also represented Colchester United and Sheffield United after beginning his career with Watford.
As well as O'Toole, midfielder Gary Deegan has agreed a to extend his stay at Southend United to 23rd January.
