Team News: Sokolik to make his debut

Jakub Sokolik, Freddy Eastwood and Anthony Straker start for Blues

Jakub Sokolik made his Southend United debut as Phil Brown made three changes for the visit of Bury to Roots Hall.

Sokolik, who signed on Tuesday, was joined by Freddy Eastwood and Anthony Straker in coming into the side from the draw with Scunthorpe.

Sokolik replaced Mark Phillips, who was not involved, while Eastwood replaced Barry Corr in attack.

Straker came in for Will Atkinson, while Luke Prosser was among the substitutes as he stepped up his return from injury.

The midfield three remained the same, with Ryan Leonard, Marc Laird and Conor Clifford, while goalscorers John Egan and John White started.

Blues: Bentley; White, Coker, Sokolik, Egan; Leonard, Clifford, Laird; Hurst, Straker, Eastwood.

Subs: Smith, Prosser, Timlin, Corr, Atkinson, Payne, Barnard.
