Last Time Out: Bristol Rovers

19 March 2014

Blues meet Rovers on Friday, and here's how we got on against them earlier this season...

In the reverse fixture against Bristol Rovers this season, it ended in a 1-1 draw at Roots Hall back in September.

It was a second successive 1-1 draw, having drawn 1-1 with Bury the previous weekend away from home.

Matt Harrold scored against his former club for the fourth time in a row to give Rovers the lead five minutes after half-time.

But Kevan Hurst grabbed his second goal of the season in the 66th minute, to draw Blues level.

Hurst’s goal would win the September Goal of the Month competition.

Ryan Leonard and Barry Corr both had chances for Blues, while Daniel Bentley tipped Lew Brown’s effort past the post.

Cauley Woodrow went close but Blues were made to settle for a point.

Blues: Bentley; Thompson, Phillips (Payne 23), Prosser, White; Hurst, Atkinson, Leonard, Straker; Corr, Eastwood (Woodrow 54).
Subs not used: Smith, Timlin, Clifford, Reid, Banton.
