Blues to turn their hand to T20...

Southend United will take on Southend Cricket Club in a T20 game on Thursday 31st July, starting at 5:30pm.

Blues have taken on the local cricket side in the last couple of years, with it going down to the last ball on both occasions.

The previous year, Chris Barker hit a winning six off the last ball, but Blues were on the receiving end of a last ball boundary last time out.

Southend & EMT Cricket Club hit a four off the final ball to win the game after Blues had racked up 128 from their 20 overs.

Mitch Pinnock and manager Phil Brown were top scorers for Blues.

The event will be free and drinks will be served in the bar from 4pm.
