Blues In Spain: John White's Daily Diary

7 July 2014

The skipper's second update from Spain...

It’s been a long day today as we enjoyed our first full day out in Spain during our pre-season training camp.

We had two football sessions and a lower body and power session in the gym in between, so it’s been a tough one but one I feel we’ve all got a lot out of.

In the morning we had a two-hour session which was more fitness based, but with the footballs, and some work on our sprinting technique.

We had a short break before the gym session where we all just got some rest really. The gym isn’t the biggest so we all went in at different times.

The evening session was our first real look at a game situation since the start of pre-season, but nowhere near what it’d be like in the build up to a League fixture.

It was more on the technical side of the game, but it was another good session at the end of what has been a long day.

We’ve not had much time really to do much else today, and I’m sure we’ll all sleep pretty easy this evening.

More of the same tomorrow it seems as we prepare ourselves for the first friendly on Sunday against Great Wakering Rovers.

That first day of the season is getting closer and closer, and you can sense in the squad there’s an ever-building excitement among us.

I’ll post another update tomorrow evening,

JW.
