Vote for Southend United under-18 midfielder Jack Bridge in the LFE Goal of the Month competition for December

Southend United under-18 midfielder Jack Bridge is up for the LFE Goal of the Month for December, so please get voting!

Defender Kane Farrell won the award in December, so let's make it a double of wins for our youngsters.

Forget Luis Suárez, Alvaro Negredo and Olivier Giroud, ten academy players have shown that they know a thing or two about scoring spectacular goals in League Football Education’s (LFE) Goal of the Month competition for December.

Sam Humphreys sparkling strike for Oxford United took the plaudits last month and there is no shortage of quality this time around in what promises to be one of the fiercest competitions on record. The contenders are: 

• Matthew Cotton, LINCOLN CITY v Wigan Athletic
• Jack Willbye, IPSWICH TOWN v Sunderland
• Jack Taylor, SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY v Crystal Palace
• Michael O’Donoghue, COLCHESTER UNITED v Barnet
• Jack Bridge, SOUTHEND UNITED v Gillingham
• Raekwon McFarlane, Cheltenham Town v BIRMINGHAM CITY
• Conor Ready, BLACKPOOL v Liverpool
• Dominic Telford, BLACKPOOL v Liverpool
• Kyran Wiltshire, Luton Town v MK DONS
• Sullay Kaikai, Fulham v CRYSTAL PALACE

LFE chief executive Alan Sykes said: “This competition showcases the stars of tomorrow. It is always extremely competitive and remains hugely popular.”
