Programme: Anthony Straker feature

28 February 2014

Anthony Straker talks exclusively to the club's official matchday programme

Anthony Straker features in Saturday’s edition of Blues, our official matchday programme, priced at just £3.

Straker discusses fatherhood, his time out of the side recently, and the future following the birth of his first child.

The winger also discusses his former club Wycombe, whom he had a four game loan spell with.

Here’s a few of the quotes from our exclusive interview with Anthony: “Tate’s a bit like his dad – he loves his sleep which is good news for me,” he said.

“It’s been a really crazy few weeks but it has been one of the best times of my life. Going home after work I’m just really happy and love spending time with Tate.

“It doesn’t make it any harder coming in to work, but it does make you much happier as a person off the field and that helps you to play better when you’re out on the pitch.

“It has been a really good season for me personally, definitely one of the best of my career. That’s not just in terms of the football I’m playing but also the enjoyment side of it.

Also inside, there’s the latest from the youth team, including an interview with Kane Farrell, their latest results and the notes from the Shrimpers Trust.

We also have an article on Men United vs. Prostate Cancer written by journalist Ian Ridley, as we’re promoting their campaign at Saturday’s game.

There’s all the action from Blues’ last three games, as well as the exclusive columns from Phil Brown and John White.

Make sure you pick up a copy for just £3 from around the ground on Saturday.
