A look back to the last meeting between the two sides....
A crowd of over 9,000 saw Southend United snatch a last-gasp winner the last time we met York City in League 2.
Luke Prosser’s header from Ben Coker’s free-kick in the 90th minute, sealed the win for Blues, who, just like York, finished the game with ten men.
Blues took the lead in just the sixth minute, when Kevan Hurst finished excellently from just inside the box.
The midfielder would be booked for his celebration, and it would come back to haunt him after York had equalised through Ryan Bowman in the 56th minute.
Two minutes later and Hurst was on his way for a tug on a York City defender, resulting in a second yellow card.
Blues defended well with the man disadvantage, and the numbers were levelled with five minutes remaining as York’s scorer Bowman was sent off.
A ten-apiece either side could’ve won it, but it was Blues who did, when Prosser rose highest to head home and make it four straight wins.
