During mornings students take part in the classroom based sessions, covering topics such as Lifestyle, Anatomy and Practical Sports. In the afternoon students take part in practical sessions where they are taught by a lead member of staff. Students are taught the basics of coaching with the aim of developing high quality community coaches for the future.

Students on the Futsal Academy study for a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Sports Performance & Excellence. As well as their studies, students train and play for Southend United in the Football League Trust Futsal League (London & South East), competing against other clubs such as Leyton Orient, Crystal Palace and Chelsea.
