#WallOfColour: Ryan Leonard and Will Atkinson deliver kits to supporters

6 August 2014

Southend United players Will Atkinson and Ryan Leonard took time out of their afternoons on Tuesday to deliver the new home kit to four lucky supporters.

Leonard and Atkinson played the role of delivery men as they dropped the kits off to four fans who had pre-ordered the new home shirt for 2014-15.

The first stop was at the home of Scott and Dean Williams. Scott had asked for ‘Leonard 18’ on the back of his home kit, and Blues’ midfielder was only too happy to sign it for him while he was there.

The duo then paid a visit to Beth and Andrew Close. It was a nice surprise for Beth, whose birthday it is at the weekend, as Will presented her with an early gift.

Ryan and Will posed for photos with Beth, Andrew, Scott and Dean, while Sky Sports News came along to cover the event as part of the ‘Wall of Colour’.

Beth told Sky: “It was a really nice surprise. I certainly wasn’t expecting to see Will and Ryan at my front door today!

“I’m really looking forward to the new season, and I’m sure it will be a good one for Southend.”

The home kit is now on sale in the Club Shop and online.

Make sure you get yours before our first home game of the season against Walsall in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday 12th August, 7:45pm.
