Michael Timlin pleased to confirm play-off spot with a point at Fleetwood Town
Midfielder Michael Timlin was delighted to seal a play-off spot with a hard-earned point against Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
Having won 1-0 against Accrington Stanley last weekend to all but assure the spot, Blues needed a point at Fleetwood Town on Saturday.

He said: “It is very pleasing to confirm our place in the play-off and know we’ll definitely be in them come the end of the season with one game left to play.
“Before the game we knew we would have to mess it up drastically to drop out, but we did the job we needed to, making sure we picked up the point.
“We approached the game with the right attitude and got a well deserved point against a side full of confidence still pushing for automatic promotion.
“It was an entertaining game, if we’d got one of two of the decisions we thought we deserved, we may have actually been celebrating a win.
“But the point means we can now look forward to the play-offs. We’re all looking forward to it, but we will first think about Burton and concentrate on keeping that momentum going.”
Timlin was full of praise for Blues’ supporters who made the journey to Highbury Stadium.
Despite no figure being given, it looked around 600 there supporting their team, and Timlin was pleased they were leaving happy.
He added: “We showed plenty of positives with the performance against one of the best sides in the division.
“I’m delighted for the fans in particular that this point has given us the total we need to make sure we are in the play-offs.
“They’ve always been great, but I’ve really noticed it this season. They were here in great numbers again so we wanted to get what we needed for them.”
