Team News: Blues unchanged at Cheltenham

5 April 2014

Phil Brown names the same side for the trip to Cheltenham Town

Southend United manager Phil Brown named an unchanged side for the third game in a row for the trip to Cheltenham Town.

After two successive wins, Blues were unchanged with Jamar Loza and Lee Barnard leading the line.

Barry Corr, suspended for the last three games, was on the bench, and despite being back fit, Adam Thompson missed out.

Marc Laird and Bedsente Gomis also missed out as Brown had plenty options available to him on the bench.

Fresh off the back of four clean sheets in a row, Brown kept Dan Bentley in goal with Jakub Sokolik and John Egan at the heart of the defence, John White at right-back and Ben Coker on the left.

Luke Chambers was Blues’ substitute goalkeeper with Paul Smith picking up a knock in training this week.

Blues: Bentley; White, Coker, Sokolik, Egan; Timlin, Leonard, Atkinson, Hurst; Barnard, Loza.

Subs: Chambers, Prosser, Clifford, Straker, Eastwood, Corr, Murphy.
