30 April 2014

What awards and presentations are taking place on Saturday?

With it being the final game of the regular season on Saturday, there are a lot of awards and presentations taking place pitch side.

Here’s a list of what is going on before, and at half-time, of the game on Saturday.

Before the game, we’ll the Community & Educational Trust will be presenting their Community Player of the Year award, last year won by Neil Harris.

The Community department will also be receiving a cheque from CEO Steve Kavanagh, which is from the FA Charity Shield money.

We will also be announcing the Supporters’ Player of the Season, naming who came in third, second and first.

There will also be a Players’ Player of the Season Award presented before the game.

At half-time, the scholars who will be part of Ricky Duncan’s under-18’s will be presented to the crowd, as well as those from this season who have been offered professional contracts, or third-year development deals.

After the game, the players will do a lap of honour to mark the end of the regular season and show their appreciation for your support at the 23 games at Roots Hall in the league so far. Please do stay behind and cheer them on ahead of the play-offs.
