Youth Day: Blues vs. Morecambe

4 September 2013

Show support for the first team and youth academy when Blues take on Morecambe on September 7th at Roots Hall

We’re asking Blues fans to show their support of both the first team and our excellent academy at our upcoming Youth Day when we take on Morecambe in League 2 on Saturday 7th September, kick-off 3pm.
Our Youth Academy has helped to produce players like Daniel Bentley and Jack Payne, who both played in our last home game against Northampton Town.
We’re asking Blues fans to show their support on the day and head #BackToYourRoots.
Before the game both the development and shadow squads will parade around the pitch while at half-time all age groups of the academy will do the same.
The Youth Day is a fantastic opportunity for the Club to showcase the work that Ricky Duncan and his staff do, so it would be great to have as many people at the game as possible.
Any under-16’s who buy a ticket in advance for the game against Morecambe will then be able to come to one of our next four home games for just £1. That ticket must also be purchased in advance*.

Phil Brown said “Building attendances is something we’re very keen to do as a club to ensure we make Roots Hall a fortress this season. This is also a great opportunity to come and show your support for the players of the future and give them a fantastic reception. We’ve already seen fruit for the youth department’s efforts this season with Dan Bentley and Jack Payne featuring for the first team with Seedy Njie, Mitch Pinnock and Ryan Auger also part of the first-team set up.”

You can also show further support by helping to fund the legacy of the Youth Academy by signing up to Blues Lottery for just £10 a month.
The money from the Blues Lottery goes towards supporting Ricky Duncan and his staff in helping produce further first-team players through the academy.
You could also have the chance to win £250 at every home game this season.
We’ll be handing out Blues Lottery flyers throughout the Youth Day, and anyone who signs up on the day will be entered into a draw to win the chance for you and three others to spend the day with Ricky Duncan’s under-18’s as they prepare for the FA Youth Cup 1st round. Depending on whether it is at home or away, you’ll travel with the team, go behind-the-scenes, and watch the game.
Having seen the first-team make an excellent start to the season at home, helping support the Youth Academy is just another great reason why you should be at Roots Hall on September 7th.
If you’ve not got your tickets yet, call 08444 770077 to book!

*An advance ticket is any ticket purchased by 5pm the day before the game. Please note anyone under-14 must be accompanied by an adult.
