Skipper could be fit to face Bury this weekend
Phil Brown says John White has a chance of being fit for Saturday’s game at Gigg Lane against Bury.
The skipper missed Blues’ game against Scunthorpe United on Friday night with a thigh injury.
But he came through a fitness session on Tuesday and Brown says he’s hoping to welcome his captain back on Saturday.
He said: “He had a problem with his thigh and Friday’s game came too soon for him, but he has a chance of being fit for Saturday.
“He came through a fitness session on Tuesday with the fitness coaches, so we’ll hope he will be back training on Thursday.
“Any team misses their captain and on Friday I think we missed his calming influence.
“The next 48 hours are crucial for John but he’s a big character on the pitch and it’d be great if we could welcome him back for the game.”
