Goalkeeper looking forward to the atmosphere under the lights on Friday
Daniel Bentley is confident Blues can get back to winning ways on Friday night against Scunthorpe United.
The 20-year-old goalkeeper is also looking forward to Blues’ first League 2 match under the lights at Roots Hall of the season.
He said: “I have heard quite a lot about the atmosphere of Friday night matches. I remember it was excellent at the game against Chesterfield last season just before Christmas.
“There always seems to be a bit of a bigger crowd at Friday night games, I know the club have had them for a number of years.
“Hopefully, with six Friday night games over the course of the season, we can make winning them something of a habit.
“The atmosphere should be great again, despite the last three defeats I’m sure the fans will still turn up in their numbers to support us.
“The atmosphere and support at all three home games in the league so far this season has been great, so I’m really looking forward to a game under the lights.
“I’m confident we can get back to winning ways. The Morecambe game was disappointing for everyone but we’re determined to put that in the past.
“Last season’s home form wasn’t good enough, and having lost of Saturday we want to make sure we bring back the performances we put in against Plymouth and Northampton.
“It’s good to have another home game straight away after that one so we can banish the memory of that defeat.”
