Brown: Character and commitment

15 September 2013

Brown wants his players to show character as they look to end the run.

Phi Brown says it’s all about character now as his players look to end their four game losing streak.

Blues were beaten by Scunthorpe on Friday night to extend their losing run to four games, with their last win coming on 17th August against Northampton Town.

Brown has now called on his players to show character and commitment when they face Bury on Saturday.

He said: “The talent is there in these players. It’s all about the character and commitment that we show in training and our next game.

“We want to end this run, it’s disappointing because we started the season so well.

“We’re down but it’s all about that character. The players have to step up and show it now.

“Every week is a big week, we’ve got to work extremely hard. The players have got to listen to everything we’re telling them.

“Ben Coker has that character and he’ll show that in the week.

“Individual errors have cost us but we’re a collective. It’s all about the team and as a group we’ve got to do much better.”
