Team News: Kiernan makes Blues debut

12 October 2013

Defender replaces the suspended Luke Prosser while Mark Phillips comes in for Adam Thompson

New signing Rob Kiernan came into the side for his debut against Burton Albion in place of the suspended Luke Prosser.

Kiernan, who signed on Saturday, was one of two changes from the side that beat Oxford United in our last league outing.

The other change saw Mark Phillips come in for Adam Thompson.

That meant Brown stuck with the 4-3-3 formation that served him so well in that game, with Cauley Woodrow and Kevan Hurst supporting Barry Corr upfront.

Freddy Eastwood was named among the substitutes having recovered from an injury he picked up in the draw with Bristol Rovers.

Blues: Bentley; White, Kiernan, Phillips, Coker; Clifford, Leonard, Atkinson; Hurst, Woodrow, Corr.

Subs: Smith, Eastwood, Straker, Payne, Timlin, Auger, Reid
