Craig Reid scored twice and Anthony Straker once in win over Crystal Palace
Phil Brown was again pleased with his squad as they beat Crystal Palace 4-1 in a behind-closed-doors friendly.
Luke Prosser, Anthony Straker, Paul Smith, Craig Reid and Michael Timlin all played a part, along with a number of youngsters and a couple of trialists.
Reid scored twice, Straker once, and Palace’s goalkeeper also scored an own goal, as Blues ran out winners.
Phil Brown said: “Craig got a couple of goals which is great for his confidence and makes me think about him for the next game. This is what development games are important for.
“He could even have claimed the own goal, but he got two goals which is excellent.
“Anthony Straker also got a goal and we played some very good football.
“It was important for the likes of Prosser, Smith, Timlin and Straker to get these minutes on the pitch.
“I was also impressed with Ryan Auger who is really pushing for a first-team call up.
“He’s very comfortable on the ball and can pick a pass, we just need to work on his defensive responsibilities without the ball.”
