Blues boss believes his side have got their confidence back ahead of trip to the Kassam Stadium
Phil Brown hopes his players will have their confidence back ahead of Saturday’s trip to Oxford United as they look to end their winless run.
A host of first-team players played in a friendly against Colchester United this week, and have trained well ahead of the trip to the Kassam Stadium, according to Brown.
Brown said: “I think the wind is coming back into our sails now. We’ve been working hard with the players in training to get their confidence back up and I think it’s been working.
“Oxford have made a very good start to the season but we’re looking forward to testing ourselves against them, it would be a great place to get back to winning ways.
“Their home form hasn’t been the best in the last few games, they’ve drawn a couple and lost one so hopefully we can take advantage of that.”
Brown added that Freddy Eastwood and Mark Phillips could be back in time for the game, adding: “We’ll have to see how they both react to training before deciding what part they can play in the game.
“Having seen a number of players put in a good performance against Colchester in the friendly there’s a lot to think about ahead of the game.
“It’s a good test for us and one we’re looking forward to.”
