John White on his 'lucky tash' ahead of the visit of Cheltenham Town on Saturday
John White says the lucky tash will have to stay if Blues can make it six wins from six against Cheltenham Town on Saturday.
Blues’ skipper has been growing his tash in aid of Movember, but Blues have won every game since he started.
With Cheltenham the final game in November, White says it’ll have to stay if they can make it six from six, and he says Blues are confident they can do exactly that.
He said; “It’s definitely been a bit of a lucky tash in recent weeks as we’re five unbeaten with it and I think that means it’ll have to stay for now.
“It’d be great to end the month with six wins, I can’t remember being involved in a run like this for a while, one doesn’t spring to my mind.
“We put in a terrific performance at Portsmouth to come from behind and win the game with ten men.
“We may feel it in the legs slightly on Saturday because we’ve had two games already this week and finished both with ten men.
“But we know there isn’t a midweek game next week and we’ll give it absolutely everything to come out on top against Cheltenham.
“Hopefully there’s another good crowd at Roots Hall and we can make it a hat-trick of home wins this month.”
White isn’t underestimating the challenge of Cheltenham Town, despite their difficult start to the season.
The defender expects them to be challenging for the play-offs come the end of the campaign.
He added: “Cheltenham haven’t had the best of starts to the season but we treat every team with respect and know it’ll be a tough game.
“You expect them to be one of the sides challenging for the play-offs at the end of the season, but hopefully we can come away with the three points.
“They’ve signed a few players in the week so should be fresh going into the game, but with the support of the fans, and playing at home, I’m confident, and so are the rest of the lads, that we can win the game.”
