Blues boss pleased to have striker at Roots Hall for the remainder of the season
Phil Brown is pleased that’ll he’ll be able to continue working with youngster Cauley Woodrow until the end of the season.
Woodrow extended his loan spell with Blues until May 4th, and Brown is delighted to have him here for the rest of the season.
“It’s excellent news,” said Brown. “Cauley has done really well since come here on loan and it’s great to have him here now until the end of the season.
“He works extremely hard, wants to play football and wants to score goals. He gives us another attacking option and is a threat.
“When all the players are fit we’ve got a strong squad, having Cauley here until the end of the season means we’ve got four strikers here.
“All three loan players have played an important role so far this season and I’m sure they will all continue to do so, it was great to have them all able to play in the FA Cup.
“There is competition for places here when everyone is fit and Anthony Straker has grabbed his chance meaning Cauley was on the bench again at Morecambe.
‘But it gives us good options and he’ll keep working hard and will eventually get his chance again.”
