Blues fan Edward Taylor would like to see fellow fans at his Portrait of Fear play in Westcliff this July
Southend United fan Edward Taylor, 80, has written a chilling thriller ‘Portrait of Fear’ that will be showing at the Dixon Studio in Westcliff-on-Sea between Tuesday 9th and Saturday 13th July.
Edward has supported Southend since he was a young boy and would like to see as many Blues fans as possible watch the play he has written.
Edward said: “I’ve been a Blues fan since I was a young boy and remember going to games. We’d sit in the stands if we had enough money or stand if we didn’t have much. If we didn’t have any we’d lean up against the wall outside and watch through binoculars.
“I remember Jack French scored a goal and I fell off my bike as I’d been so happy we’d scored our first goal in about six weeks.
“Hopefully my play will cheer the Southend fans up after what has been a difficult season – I’m sure we’ll be better next year and push for promotion.”
