Southend United are pleased to announce that Mitchell Pinnock has signed a two-year professional contract with the Club.
Mitchell has agreed terms after being offered his first pro contract by manager Phil Brown at the end of the season.
The left-winger made his professional debut against Aldershot Town before enjoying a 25-minute cameo in the final game of the campaign against Morecambe.
The youngster has been with the Club since the age of 15 after joining following his release by Premier League side Arsenal.
Phil Brown has already confirmed the under-23 players in the squad will report back for pre-season on 10th June, two weeks ahead of the full squad.
Speaking minutes after putting pen to paper on the deal, Mitchell said: “I’m delighted to have signed my first professional contract here at Southend United, I’m just now looking forward to kicking on and making an impression this season.
“I’d like to thank all the staff in the youth department who have helped me to develop my game over the years and earn this contract.
“Having that little taste of what the first-team is like towards the end of the season has made me even hungrier for success. I’m already looking forward to the start of pre-season.”
