Your chance to take to the Wembley pitch

18 March 2013

Ten teams have taken on the Johnstone’s Paint Pot Challenge, and now fans have a once in a lifetime opportunity to take on the footballing competition on the pitch during half-time of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final at Wembley!

This season the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy took a giant inflatable paint pot on a tour of the UK, testing the shooting accuracy of the most competent footballers and managers in Leagues 1 and 2, filming the efforts for the official YouTube channel.

Now fans can test their own mettle by entering the draw on the website to win the chance to have a go themselves.

Three winners will be chosen to come to Wembley and each will have 90 seconds to score as many points as possible during half-time, with one point awarded for hitting the pot and 10 for chipping in the ball. The winners will also be given 4 tickets to the Final for themselves and 3 of their friends or family.

The person who scores the most points in the allocated time wins £500, with second place taking home £200 and third winning £100. All three winners will get a JPT football shirt and goodie bag and commemorative photos.

Ben Wilde, Brand and Sponsorship Manager at Johnstone’s Paint said: “We’ve seen some of the best players in the competition take on the Challenge, and now it’s time for the fans to take on the paint pot!

“Any football fan would love to play on the hallowed turf during the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium. We’re looking forward to seeing how well they do on the day!”

The competition is one of a number of activities organised by the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy ahead of the Final, which will see Southend United take on Crewe Alexandra for the Trophy. Children under-12 are asked to demonstrate their creative flair by designing a football boot while youngsters aged 12-18 are invited to ‘Be a Johnstone’s Journalist’ and write about their love for their club. Further information on these competitions can be found on the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy website.
