Midfielder links back up with Blues for a second loan spell
The Club are delighted to announce that Tamika Mkandwire has re-joined on a month’s loan deal from Millwall.
The 29-year-old spent two months at Roots Hall earlier in the season and has returned to play a crucial role in Blues’ run-in.
The midfielder will also be available to play in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final against Crewe.
Tamika, who made 12 appearances during his first spell, scored one goal for the Club – against Brentford in the JPT.
Paul Sturrock was delighted to have the midfielder back. He said: “It’s great to have Tamika back and he will be available for seven League 2 matches and of course the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
“I think we’ve missed him since he returned to Millwall so to have him back is fantastic.”
Tamika was equally pleased to have returned to Roots Hall. He said: “I really enjoyed my initial spell here for two months and it’s great to be back.
“I know all of the lads and have kept in touch with them since I went back to Millwall so it should be easy for me to settle back in.
“Hopefully I can play a big part, help the team back into the play-offs and play a part at Wembley in the final.”
Tamika is available for selection for today’s game against Torquay United.
