Youngster wants to prove himself in pre-season.
Blues striker Seedy Njie has spoken of his delight after signing a one-year contract with the Club.
The powerful forward, who made his Blues debut in the Capital One Cup defeat to Peterborough United last season admitted he is “delighted” to put pen to paper.
“I’m delighted, it’s a good thing for me to have signed a professional contract,” the 18-year-old said.
“It was great to be involved with the first team and I was fortunate enough to make my debut in the Capital One Cup at Peterborough. That gave me a real taster of what it’s going to be like for next season. I’m really pleased and looking forward to getting more games under my belt.
“It’s been five or six weeks and I’ve been missing playing to be honest. I’ve been craving to get back and I’m looking forward to Monday, back in pre-season and we can look forward to hopefully a really good campaign.
“The manager has the experience of knowing how to produce players and develop players. Under this manager I really believe that he can improve me as a footballer. I’m looking forward to starting my career well.”
Looking ahead to 2013/14, Njie is hopeful of nailing down a starting berth right from the offset.
“I want to get a starting place in the team and score plenty of goals. I want to have a really good pre-season and show the manager what I can do. I’m looking forward to the season and hope to play plenty of games and score a few goals as well. It’s a great opportunity for me.”
