Brown looking forward to home friendlies

25 July 2013

Blues boss is excited by the prospect of welcoming QPR and West Ham United to Roots Hall

Phil Brown hopes to impress Blues fans in the two upcoming home friendlies ahead of the start of the season.

QPR and West Ham visit in the next five days ahead of the start of the season on August 3rd.

And Brown says the quality of opposition will give Blues the chance to showcase to the fans what they can do.

Brown said: “Harry and Sam are both very good friends of mine and I’ll know they will both bring good sides here.

“QPR were playing in the Premier League last season and they will be bringing a very strong squad.

“It will be a good chance for the players here to go up against such a tough team and show the fans what we’re all about.

“West Ham have been on a pre-season trip to Germany but there’s a chance some of those who haven’t had enough minutes will be involved on Monday.

“It’s a local derby so I’m sure there will be a great atmosphere at the game and it would be fantastic to see as many fans there as possible ahead of the start of the new season.”

Tickets can be purchased online, by phone on 08444 770077 or by visiting Blues Box Office at Roots Hall.
