Blues arrive in Madrid

Southend United have arrived in the Spanish capital ahead of their four-day pre-season trip

Southend United arrived in Madrid this morning ahead of a four-day pre-season tour that will include a friendly against Real Madrid C on Wednesday.

Blues arrived in the Spanish capital around 11:30am CEST on Monday.

Phil Brown has brought 18 players out to Madrid, including trialists Conor Clifford and Don Cowan who have both impressed Blues’ boss on trial.

The players will train at the Spanish National Team Training Complex this evening at around 7pm local time.
