Brentford manager on 2-2 draw at Roots Hall
Brentford boss Uwe Rosler paid tribute to Blues’ performance as he watched his side draw 2-2 in the FA Cup third round at Roots Hall.
Speaking after the game, he said: “I felt the first half was a very interesting game for the spectators.
“We were 2-0 up but they (Southend) were very good. They play will skill and organisation.
“We had some good interplay ourselves but I was disappointed with their first goal.
“Second half they became tired and we had more control in the midfield.
“Our substitutes that we brought on didn’t make a big enough difference for us like I expected.
“We have to do it the hard way with the replay but Southend are a good team.
“They play clever football which is hard to cope with and Gavin Tomlin up front is an excellent player who always causes problems.”
