Spillane set for Blues debut

26 January 2013

Two changes from last Tuesday's defeat at Brentford

Paul Sturrock handed Mickey Spillane his debut in a Blues shirt for the trip to the Proact Stadium to take on Chesterfield in League 2.

Spillane was one of two changes made by Sturrock from the side that started the 2-1 defeat to Brentford in the FA Cup.

Out of the side went Anthony Straker and Luke Prosser as Spillane and Ryan Leonard came in.

Mark Phillips dropped back into defence to partner Ryan Cresswell who passed a late fitness test.

Kevan Hurst beat off the back injury he picked up against Brentford to take his place in the starting line-up.

Blues: Smith; Clohessy, Phillips, Cresswell, Barker; Leonard, Hurst, Timlin, Spillane; Tomlin, Corr.
