Wembley ticket sales update

28 February 2013

Thank you for your patience in the queue and on the phones

We would like to thank supporters, both those who have queued at Roots Hall and waited on the phone, for their patience since Wembley tickets went on sale.

We understand the queue times were long yesterday, on what was the first day of sales. Staff in the ticket office were working as quick as they could to help the queues move as fast as possible, but it is not easy processing the Wembley tickets.

The queues on Thursday have been steady since we opened at 9:30am and queue time this afternoon was approximately one hour.

Chief executive Steve Kavanagh thanked fans for their understanding. He said: "We really appreciate your patience and the good nature of everyone in the queue.

"Everyone who I spoke to in the queue was very understanding of the situation and appreciated the long queues were down to people wanting to say they've got their Wembley tickets on the first day.

"There was a queue of around an hour when I went down earlier and again everyone was in good spirits - they are almost as excited as I am about the trip to Wembley."

We would like to make everyone aware there are still plenty of tickets left with excellent views of the pitch.

If you are planning to come down and purchase tickets, it would massively help if you knew exactly which category pricing range you'd like.
