JOB DESCRIPTION

POST TITLE:  Sales Administrator

DEPARTMENT: Commercial

RESPONSIBLE TO: Commercial Sales Executive

MAIN PURPOSE: Support the effective operation of Southend United’s commercial department, including sales, administration and customer relationship management

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Communication and Working Relationships
1.1 Provide excellent customer service to all external and internal customers
1.2 Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensue efficient customer service
1.3 Welcome customers promptly and warmly and answer telephone queries

2. Planning and Organisation
2.1 Arrive in good time and be well prepared for the days work
2.2 Be aware of current promotions and targets to be able to promote at all opportunities
2.3 Work flexibly to meet the needs of the business including all match days

3. Sales
3.1 Provide excellent customer service to maximise sales
3.2 Be prepared to follow up any sales leads
3.3 Create sales initiatives and, if need be, visit local companies to promote

4. Administration
4.1 Maintain all records as required
4.2 Be aware of and adhere to Standard Operation Procedures at all times
4.3 Coordinate matchday operations
4.4 Competent use of computer databases 

5. Finance and Resources
5.1 Handle cash and card transactions
5.2 Cash up, following set procedures
5.3 Prepare and distribute invoices as appropriate
5.4 Administer Blues Lottery

6. Policy and Research
6.1 Be aware of Southend United’s activities to be able to discuss them          
      competently with customers

7. General 
7.1 Promote anti-discriminatory practices in all work undertaken
7.2 Have an understanding of the work and aims of Southend United
7.3 Must be prepared to do CPD
7.4 Any other duties commensurate with the level of the post
