Sky in town for JPT second-leg

6 February 2013

Date confirmed as Wednesday 20th February, kick-off 7:15pm

Southend United’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Southern Area Final second-leg against Leyton Orient will now be live on Sky Sports on Wednesday 20th February, kick-off 7:15pm.

We are just 90 minutes away from a trip to Wembley, and thanks to the 1-0 win in the first-leg, Blues have a good chance of reaching the final due to be played on Sunday April 7th.

The team need all your support at Roots Hall and we hope that it can be a sell-out. Leyton Orient have already sold 1,000 tickets themselves, so they will be coming in numbers.

Just like Tuesday night though, there’s no doubt Blues fans will make more of the noise, and it’s certainly helped the players at Brisbane Road.

Speaking after the game, goal scorer Leonard said: “Most of the night it felt like we were the home team. The fans were absolutely brilliant and we will need that again in the game at Roots Hall.”

Blues boss Paul Sturrock also issued a rallying cry after the game. He added: “It’s half-time in the game. That’s the way we must look at it. The fans were brilliant here tonight and I’m sure they will do the same again at Roots Hall in two weeks’ time, we need all your support if we are to reach Wembley.”

Ticket prices have been reduced for the game. Prices are as follows:

Adults: £15
Concessions (Over-60’s, Young Person (17-20) & Students): £10
Juniors (Under-16’s) - £5

Those who are at Roots Hall for the second-leg will receive priority should we make the final at Wembley.
