Harris and Clohessy on hand to help promoted Southend Library's Quick Reads scheme
First-team members Neil Harris and Sean Clohessy were on hand to promote Southend Library's Quick Reads book scheme.
Southend United have teamed up with Southend Library to help launch the Six Book Challenge which kicked-off at Waterstones Southend last Thursday.
Neil and Sean were both in attendance as well as musician Digby Fairweather.
Simon Wallace, community and diversity manager at Southend Library said the aim was to provide books for people to enjoy short and sharp reads.
He said: "The books are interesting reads because they are commissioned every year.
"They are fantastic stories and easy to get in to. Thanks to the support of Southend United FC, libraries are able to reach out to even more readers; particularly those who maybe haven't picked up a book for a while or don't know what to read next."
