Britt Assombalonga buzzing after grabbing the winner at Wycombe
Britt Assombalonga thanks Blues' fans, his team mates and Paul Sturrock for the belief they have shown in him after he grabbed the winner for Blues at Wycombe.
Assombalonga, without a goal since a 3-1 home win to Rochdale in November, struck in the 85th minute to complete the turnaround as Blues came from behind to win.
And the striker, on loan from Watford, was delighted to have finally got a goal.
He said: "I would just like to say a big thank you to all the fans, my team mates and the manager because they have all shown faith in me.
"That goal was for them. The celebrations were absolutely amazing and the whole team came over with the fans.
"It was a big goal because we needed to get back to winning ways in the league and I'm buzzing to have been able to score it.
"I thought my chance had gone after I had one ruled out for offside in the first half, but I got another chance and took it.
"It was a good team move because we broke down the left and there was only three passes involved in the goal.
"We were the away team so we had to try and counter at times and it worked brilliantly.
"Kevan did really well because I was going to make a different run and he told me to spin.
"It worked and I managed to find the back of the net - the celebrations were amazing.
"Hopefully now this can be the start of me getting more and more goals to help the team push for promotion.
"We will re-group on Monday and then go again with an important game against Barnet on Tuesday night.
