Luke Prosser on his Player of the Month nomination
Luke Prosser says he is delighted to receive recognition for his form in November, but is quick to pass the credit around the team.
Luke has been nominated for the Sky Bet League 2 Player of the Month for November following six good performances, helping Blues to five wins and a draw.
Blues conceded just three goals during those six games, and Prosser says it has been a real team effort.
Prosser said: “It’s really nice to get the recognition, it’s the first time I’ve been nominated so it’s great.
“I’ve been really pleased with my performances in November but it’s all about the team effort and the work we’re all putting in.
"Dan Bentley was nominated a couple of months ago so as a back five we're getting the credit we deserve.
“We’ve had a settled back four for the last five games and I think we’re seeing the rewards.
“Rob (Kiernan) and I have formed a good partnership and Ben Coker and John White have been playing regularly.
“Then Mark Phillips and Adam Thompson are both back available and fit and are pushing us all the way so we need to make sure we’re at our best.
“It’s been a very good month for us. It was a bit disappointing not to end it with six straight wings but Cheltenham deserved something.
“Four league wins and a draw mean we’ve got 13 points from a possible 15 and progressed in the FA Cup so it’s gone well – we’d have all taken that at the start of the month.
“The FA Cup is back again on Saturday and we’d love to progress. We went close the last time we went to Chesterfield and deserved a draw, but hopefully this time we can win and be in round three.
“That late goal hasn’t knocked our confidence at all. We will work hard this week and train well ahead of the visit to Chesterfield this weekend.”
