Hurst: Christmas a defining period

22 December 2013

Kevan Hurst talks about the upcoming games against AFC Wimbledon and Accrington Stanley over Christmas

Kevan Hurst is looking forward to what he describes as a ‘defining period’ in Blues season.

Blues are at AFC Wimbledon on Boxing Day before facing Accrington Stanley on December 29th.

They then welcome Portsmouth on New Year’s Day and Hurst is ready for the run of games in quick succession.

He said: “We have got two big away games coming up now, two tough tests.

“Accrington have picked up and Wimbledon are doing well. Christmas time in my opinion is a defining period so we’ll be looking to do really well in those two games.

“Hopefully the goals can keep coming, but the most important thing is picking up the points and that’s what we’ll be looking to do with the games coming up.

“I always look forward to the Christmas period because the games come thick and fast and you can rack up points very quickly in a short space of time.

“We’ve seen in the last couple of games the conditions have got worse, but it’s all about how you deal with them and adjust to them.”
