Midfielder knows a number of Wycombe's squad, but is out to get three points at Adams Park
Anthony Straker is hoping to get one over former teammate Gareth Ainsworth when Blues travel to Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.
Straker played in the same team as Wycombe’s manager when he had a short loan spell at Adams Park back in 2011.
The midfielder, who has been in excellent form this season, still knows a number of their squad, but is looking to pick up three points with Blues this weekend.
He said: “I enjoyed my loan spell there and still know quite a few of their players. I played with Gareth Ainsworth who is now the manager when I was there on loan.
“He’s got them working very hard and trying to play good football so it should be a really good game as both teams are looking to make up for conceding late goals last weekend in their games.
“We went there last season and put in a really good performance. We need to do exactly the same this time around. We went there after beating Leyton Orient last time so that was some week, but hopefully we can again come away with the three points.”
Straker says Blues go into the game still full of confidence, despite defeat against Chesterfield last weekend.
He added: “There were plenty of positives to take from the game against Chesterfield. We were disappointed to lose but we know we played well and deserved something from the game.
“The fans are helping to give the players the confidence to go and play. They’ve been brilliant so far this season and I’m sure they’ll be great again on Saturday.
“The celebrations when Britt scored the winning goal there last season was great, so it’d be nice to do the same again on Saturday and come away with the three points.”
