FT: Southend United 1-0 Plymouth Argyle

Kick-off: Plymouth get the game underway, looks like Atkinson on the right of midfield with Leonard and Laird in the middle.

15 mins: GOALL!!! 1-0 Blues. A great team move finished by Barry Corr. White, Eastwood and Straker all involved, with Marc Laird supplying the pass for Corr to finish.

Half-time: Blues lead 1-0 at the break thanks to Barry Corr's goal. Blues have worked extremely hard and deserve to be ahead at the interval.

64 mins: Freddy Eastwood almost makes it 2-0 with a curling free-kick but it's just about saved.

68 mins: Craig Reid replaces Freddy Eastwood for Blues.

69: Marc Laird is denied by a fantastic save from Plymouth goalkeeper Luke McCormick.

86 mins: Conor Clifford comes on for Barry Corr. Excellent ovation for Corr as he leaves the field. 

Full time: Blues hold on to Barry Corr's first-half goal. Southend United 1-0 Plymouth Argyle.

THE TEAMS: Blues’ latest three signings, Craig Reid, Conor Clifford and Julian Bennett, who all joined on Thursday, were named on the bench for the visit of Plymouth Argyle. 

The three earlier summer signings, John White, Ben Coker and Will Atkinson all started.

Dan Bentley was named in goal while Paul Smith, struggling with injury for most of pre-season, was named on the bench. 

Youngsters Jack Payne and Seedy Njie were also involved in the squad, named on the bench alongside Michael Timlin.

UNDER-18'S: The under-18's have won 2-1 against Millwall this morning. Jason Williams and Kane Farrell with the goals for Ricky Duncan's side.
